Welcome to Sweetman Renewables
Creating a green & renewable future
About Sweetman Renewables
Sweetman Renewables has ambitious plans to expand existing sawmilling operations to utilise additional log resources, notably low-quality logs, through an upgraded log processing facility.
Our Vision
Sweetman Renewables anticipates increasing the current workforce at the sawmill by at least a further 25 positions. These jobs will be in addition to employment by Sweetman Biomass related to the sourcing, processing, logistics and transport of biomass. Sweetman Renewables also has ambitious plans to produce green hydrogen. This second stage development will seek to produce green hydrogen commercially through the gasification of woodchips. Gasification is a process that converts biomass into carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon dioxide.
Sweetman Renewables, Sweetman Biomass, and later Sweetman Hydrogen will collectively be in a position to provide a significant regional economic benefit directly, and indirectly through supporting business activities and jobs that will make a valuable contribution to the Hunter Valley region.
